Cant really narrow down all the great info and insight on this forum.
On the flip side i have never in my life seen as many people ##### about there job...lol..listen almost alllll jobs sucks, thats why there jobs and not fun activities..lol
I guess coming from the military my mind set is just shut up and do the job, make changes if need be and do it the best of your ability. and also you represent whom you work for.Drive like or act like a #### head and guess what your making your company look bad. Which in tuen never leads to anything positiveWargames and flyingmusician Thank this. -
No, no! What ya do is get under there and pull a bend in the bar so the pins stay tucked. Then, when you're at/near the hole you want, bend it back just enough to release the pins. That way the next driver to have that trailer gets to have the same fun...
.
Seriously, what I tried and had some success with when a bar wouldn't pull was to gently rock on the locked tandems. Sometimes the pins would settle into a more central position in the holes, i.e., not bound in the holes. If that didn't work, out came the BIG pry bar. Note: Go ahead and have the vise grips in your back pocket cause, inevitably, once the pins release, the freakin' bar won't lock!!
Wargames Thanks this. -
I don't think you could put a price tag on this forum. It's vast amounts of information, entertainment, fighting, family, whining and discussions on more subjects than you can shake a stick at. Hell, I thought Werner was a great company and would have signed on with them had I not found this forum. I have gained much wisdom from the elders in the industry that I never would have had access to outside this forum. What I'm trying to say is, this place is the best thing since the invention of pie. Well, a close second anyway.

well probaly the most important thing that i learned from reading this forum is patience. being a professional driver you need alot of patience.
oh and another thing i learned is to remember to use my right mirror when backing or making right turns that really helped me when i went to test out of cdl school.
all in all this forum has been full of useful information and i am so glad that i stumbled across it. -
I do a lot of reading, very little posting, but I have learned a lot.
I am so thankfully that I learned about the vise grip trick just a few days before I needed it!!!1nonly Thanks this. -
One thing I learned is that even though I read enough to know about many common rookie mistakes, I still made (and continue to catch myself making) many of the classic ones.
I may continue with sharing more as time permits.
