Nah that visor is bad ###. I know old school drivers who drove these trucks don't care for that stuff but I think they're crazy that is cool. When you have one that low you have to watch that you don't pull too close to the red lights is all lol.

Might as well hang a bumper on top of the cab of that truck instead of a visor, that thing looks ridiculous.

Was it painted white? My guess it didn't have direct injection. Needed glow plugs to get it going and on start up used to rain big flakes of ash. Drove an silver '78 extended hood aerodyne . . . going around many scales was fun!! Remember 73,280???

Sets a harmonic that gets to rocking and then the more you attempt to correct behind the boyd loop the worst it gets... right?

Never look in the mirrors. This one the driver said he caught the edge of the road but he was gambling in Mesquite all night. Remember the "where's the beef" commercial? Vegas news played it and said all over I-15 north of town.

Ya know FFE had a top driver on a wall of pictures, high muck a muck with more miles than God. One fine day in Arizona he pulls his pete up to a rail crossing that was literally just a set of wood planks on the tracks for him to cross. Miles from anywhere, visibility to the ends of the earth with maybe knee high scrub here and there. Savvy?

Train comes along and chops his pete at the fire wall. That particular was all over the Dallas Morning Newspaper the next day. Embarrassing. I forget the exact details, but Ive always wondered what in the world happened in the middle of nowhere AZ that day.... How is it possible for someone to get that wrecked when you consider the totality of the situation.

Just saw this tread. Here is mine. This one is going to work hauling grain to the river daily. Been working on little stuff to get it to pass DOT. We have DOT and MC now just have to get the inspection done and wheels will start rolling. Started life with a Detroit. It now has a Cummins Big Cam and an Eaton Fuller 13 speed.
