I don't care what you have. There's not as many loads on the board as you portray.

You're wanting to bring in loads not on the board now, which is a completely hypothetical number, and that would equate to loads available total.

And has 0 to do with loads on the board since they supposedly never hit the board.

There's maybe half the number of the total they have posted, and that is being very generous.

And of those, maybe 10% are loads you can make a living on.

What part of "if 70% of the loads on the board are BS" didnt you understand? You said 50% is generous. I said it was probably closer to 30%...

I guess I missed your point... Or you missed mine.

Landstar might have tons of postings, but as a real broker, i can assure you there are at least 10 postings for every 1 load available. Remember, Landstar is the king of being double brokering trash bags and quite a few of those posting are for loads they are trying to double broker. Landstar is no loaded with us, were a top 50 broker nationally, and i have had them call me, act like a carrier, and post my load on the boards to try to make a buck. I know this because they had the same exact load details ( i called) and our customer doesnt work with landstar. Pretty clear what going on. Also why every location has 50 freight guards for double brokering.

Not 10. I'd say the actual percentage of van loads available to as what is claimed available is about 35%.

I've made this argument for a long time, but I'm often shouted down.

2021 Van loads in total show 1,422,734. Based on your perspective does that number seem accurate?

Well. If they have 10,000 BCO's, that's 142 loads per truck.

But that probably doesn't account for outside carriers.

So to do that many loads I'd say they are dealing with in the neighborhood of 200K outside carriers.

Unfortunately, the 4 or 5 loads that go south always get taken by a TTR esteemed member.

Yeah the numbers show total truck loads at 2,429,310 and BCO's hauling 1,039,630 so about 40%. Seem legit?

Probably. There's guys that do a lot of short hauls.

I mean short. Crossed paths with some guys at a shipper that do several loads a week out of there at like 50 miles each.

And they love it. To each their own.

They will never become esteemed members.
