If you use rain ex on your windshield it will be slippery and your windshield wipper might fly off and tare up the hood on your cascadia.

With team driving too you will have to get used to the holes in the roads. Earplugs might be a good investment against noises. Night driving you may have more fog. I saw posted on one website that say stopping at 7pm on Friday is a good time for the start of the 34hr reset. Stopping at other times can increase it to 51hrs. Resets are not mandatory, so recap hours can be used. If teaming you most likely will not be stopping a lot for resets as far as downtime I bet.

Yes that stuff is great. I even use it on the inside because I use the air conditioner a lot at night; like it cool to cold when driving at night.

In my little driving experience, I've found night driving to be the most enjoyable by far. Don't be afraid to take a few extra short stops to stretch your legs, though. Works better than coffee to get your head back in the game when you're tired.

15 years and counting of driving the night shift in southern California's freeways. I can't imagine doing it during the daytime.
Hint: Make sure you get enough sleep during the day.

Oh, and I loved the Volvos.

I love night driving and often start my day at 3am. But I prefer to be on 4lane heading anyway but east. What makes me ugly is a two lane looking into the lights of Drivers that have aftermarket driving lights. They adjust them to light up the road like highbeams but don't turn them off for oncoming Drivers After a couple hrs- I'm ready to start shooting out lights LOL

Worst thing about driving at night is the glare from oncoming traffic. Too many drivers refuse to dim the high beams. I set my mirrors out a bit so I can lean toward the passenger seat a little and escape the glare coming up behind me. I'm in a 2007 Volvo now and would say the 2010 Cascadia I drove is a much better truck. I never got proper rest in a moving truck. I slept because I was dead tired but never felt rested and refreshed, more like a zombie just going through the motions.
