Now, now, now, a 300 line run-on sentence is just so challenging. Puncuation takes all the mystery out of it.

This was exquisitely pathetic. These people shouldn't even be on the road in a truck! Scary scary ####. Steel..you have the patience of a saint.

I personally wouldn't think so. My recent experience with them hasn't been a barrel of monkey's.

Recruiter signs me up, with the understanding after my training I can go solo. I get to the SLC facility, I find out they have a second phase as well. Which is anywhere from two weeks to a month. I hear stories from other drivers and of course take it with a grain of salt but decide to ask my DM. My DM informs me that I cannot go solo for six months. My application that the recruiter filled in had me listed as a solo driver.

I was out for over three weeks with my trainer before I found this out and at this point they had not even gotten me back home to get my CDL. I told them I had to go home there were some issues that came up and I needed to get my license. My DM called me and asked me if I was coming back, I told him I had to see what was going on at home first, he told me he would call me the following week. The only call I got was from the financial company informing me I was no longer employed with CR England.

I called the company and they confirmed stating I left voluntarily. I informed them of the conversation I had with my DM and again told them I had issues to deal with. They said they would report it to my DM's supervisor and reinstate me if that is what I wanted. I told her no, after everything else I was done.

Three weeks on the road with a owner op who kept turning down loads, even though we did lots of sitting would not go to a walmart so I could buy more affordable food items. Rarely ever getting sleep because he couldn't keep the truck on the road and off the rumble strip. Talked loudly on the phone yelling and laughing while I was trying to sleep or would stop for a repair three hours into my bunk time and expect me to drive my shift after it took the rest of my bunk time in the shop. Not to mention the lack of showering.

Then I can't get another job for nine months even though I believed I would be driving solo after training unless I pay $2500 for a fee to them to use it and $5000 for the schooling which was a complete joke.

They also kept my last weeks pay.

They brought in over 100 people to train, they narrowed it down to like 80 for our week. 3 hours training behind the wheel, Out of 3 backing manuevers I got to practice one once and the other two twice. We were asked to treat the instructor with respect, that courtesy was not extended to anyone else. Instructors cussing and screaming at people, some where smoking in the shaded trailer area instead of the light pole, instructors smoking all over the yard.

Test time, my examiner did not have me do a pretrip instead asked me about 5 questions then told me to do my backing. He went over to another lane a few trucks over to talk to another examiner who was testing another student; didn't even see my first manuever and half of my second one. My driving test consisted of two left turns and two right turns, no highway driving. He spent the entire time on the phone with his wife talking about another instructor who was mad about things in the yard who had lunch with the Englands.

Just a sidenote but the week after I "graduated" they had a shake up in the training yard. The examiner/instructors where passing people to often and it raised red flags. They had a major changes.

I drove truck several years ago, if I had not gone to a trucking school before there is no way in the world I would have felt prepared or safe to go out on the road for training. Which isn't really training, you team drive and the trainer will come out of the bunk (sometimes) when you pull off the road.

To anyone wanting to drive and need their CDL or to get it again go someplace else, this place is a headache. If you do go with them demand a copy of your contract when you sign with them.

Ahhhhh yes--the old unspecified "family emergency" that forced you to run to the house prior to the conclusion of training as expected (as opposed to just being routed through home, grabbing your license and continuing down the road).

This vague "family emergency" crap happens quite a bit. I see it with students at my present company. Occasionally it is legit. Usually, however, it is somebody missing their boo and too immature to complete training and then take hometime as specified in the rules.

Sounds to me like you played the old unspecified family emergency card and got cute with your DM when he asked when you would be back. When you failed to give him a straight answer as to whether you would be returning, he marked you down as voluntarily quit. That is, in effect, what you did.

I would suggest attaining a level of maturity before attempting another trucking gig.

They had not gotten me through my home state in the whole time I was on the truck. They were asked to get me home and instead took me in the opposite direction. I would advise you know what you are talking about before putting your two cents in.
