Same with Indiana. 65 doesn't bother me since 90% of their roads are crap. Especially that stretch of 70 from Indianapolis to the Ohio line. Some parts of that I'll slow down to 55.

 

It looks like this is fake news.. This bill was killed back in March and nothing has been passed. It was scheduled to go into effect July 1st but died in the house

Commentary on 55, nothing personal about you, skateboard.

You would think that running 55 would mean no issues. But there’s always an issue.

1. You bebop down the road at 55. Some other vehicle comes along at a decent clip, but takes 10 miles to pass you. “Why is this MF matching speed with my trailer?” He’s a dingleberry, always hanging off your arse. Traffic gets stacked up behind the dingleberry. As soon as they think they can squeeze between you, whether they are driving a car or semi, they cut so close to you. If you are driving a moron truck, the cattle prods go off and the truck slams on the brakes, probably turning part of your load over. Everyone is flipping you off (which is no big deal, but if they’re road raging, they are raging against you), which is fine because we weren’t trying to win any popularity contests anyway. Soon as he’s fully clear of you, dingleberry kicks up to 65 and goes up the road to find the next arse to hang off of.

2. A car is coming up the on ramp and you are running double nickel. All he has to do is step on the pedal. He can’t. He is NPC brained. Either you have to stop or switch lanes to allow an NPC on the highway. “Buddy, if you can’t find that gas pedal, you’d better be able to find the brakes.” Had an NPC woman run into my trailer. “I had nowhere to go! That evil truck driver tried to kill me!!!!”
