No... We were discussing that particular model in another thread and Jack wants someone to buy it and test it before he pulls the trigger on one. :biggrin_255:

    Thanks.

I'm sure they'll get the kinks out quickly........ truck drivers are not the quiet types...... they'll let the company know what needs to be fixed.... :biggrin_25519:

I'm still very suprised and confused that there are drivers that do not have CB's at all........ cell phones only work if you know who to call....... and everyone has been stuck with a dead phone or one that has no reception........ haven't they?? :biggrin_25521:

Why do I need "traffic updates"? If the traffic is slow or stopped, there is usually just one from a couple of reasons causing it:

    1. accident
    2. road construction
    3. "rush" hour
Having a CB won't make the traffic move any faster. PLUS: my tolerance level stays high if I don't have to listen to the foul-mouthed BS from idiots, moronic locals, motor-mouths and drivers their third day out of truck driver school.

Okay, got it installed. The mic that comes with it sucks (at least compared to mine). The SWR is sitting at about 1.5 but the ANT light is coming on (perhaps because of the surrounding trucks?). The display looks really nice, but even on DIM it's far too bright for me for night driving. It's got some features my radio doesn't, but I can tell already I'll be putting my PC78 Elite back in pretty soon. The bluetooth is kind of bugging me. There's one button that does all the functions, including enabling, disabling, pairing, and turning on certain features. You don't have to key the mike to talk on the phone. I haven't called anyone yet because of the time.
