no cdl yet, how start with roehl

    BTW, if you go to a school in MA, Roehl will reimburse up to $6000 tuition. You'll be paid back $200 for every 10,000 solo miles. So if you put on 120,000 solo miles in a year you would get back $2400.

    Here's the kicker - Roehl only offers tuition reimbursement if you make Roehl your first choice, and this includes orientations. For example: if you go to Schneider's orientation for a couple days, decide you don't like them, and then go to Roehl - even though you never "drove" for Schneider, Roehl will no longer offer tuition reimbursement.

    Here's one other kicker, and this may not apply to you but I'm sure others would find this info useful: If you are a military veteran and are interested in going into the Honor Program and earning a daily salary, you do not qualify for tuition reimbursement in that program.

    Army, nice to meet you. I've been dealing with DuWayne. I start Jan 12th with Roehl. DuWayne seems like an up front guy. If I can figure out how to pm you I have a couple of questions for you.
    1, what can I expect from evo 1 and 2
    2, I live in NY a few miles from I87,90,84 and the new 86. what can I expect as for home time and areas of driving
    3, Is the HP a good deal for a driver or is miles the way to go.
    4, Im going flatbed, what can I expect to haul
    5, how are the trucks??

    Im sure I'll think of more.

    October Guy- I will be finding out from my recruiter on Monday what my dates and training location will be. I just received a vmail from her on 12/31 that I was cleared to start... She said something a/b the first week in February.

    I'll update monday when I find out.

    im flat national
    drove over 1500 miles last week with a curtain tho
    good thing with being flat
    they can have u drive anything if freight gets slow

    I've decided to go into the National Dryvan division. I don't mind the idea of strapping, chaining and tarping a load but I really don't want a steady diet of it. My first thought was to go refrigerated due to the soft economy (perishables like food still have to move) but Roehl doesn't have openings in that group. The economy should start showing signs of life by the 3rd quarter according to the pundits. If that's the case trucking should be one of the first industries to benefit as companies begin to rebuild inventories. Keep your fingers crossed.

    Hay Gunz, sounds like your doing good. Keep us up on how it go's. I chose flatbed for the same reasons plus a little work never hurt anyone. With Roehl, they have 4 divisions, hopefully they can keep us busy.
