Unfortunately that doesn't work with the '14 cascadia. Believe me I tried everything with my two cascadias. The only ways to temporarily or conditionally defeat the auto shutdown are the ways I mentioned in my previous post, unless you can con the shop into programming the auto shutdown to operate the same way as the rest of the fleet.
The way I defeated the shutdown indefinitely: I leased a '15 cascadia, but of course now I have a whole lot less of a desire to idle for long periods of time. I drive team though so my truck is rarely stopped for more than a few hours.
No climate control?

If its 70 or above out then the truck will not shut off. It will still tell you that you are in violation but what ever. If the temp on the dash reads over 70 and shuts off he needs to take it into a shop and have them fix it. Their is a youtube video of some one pulling the temp sensor on the truck frame and it will not sgut off but your check engine light will be on.

This is why I am so happy that I have the KW with the Espar and not the Webasto. It has a cool fan setting and thermostat in the bunk. Just put the air on for a couple of hours before shutting down for the evening, then when shut down, close the curtain start up a small fan and turn on the cooling fan on the espar, set the temp for 72 and it keeps it there all night.

Works fine in the 2014 Cascadia I drive now.

Hmm perhaps I was unlucky with my trucks or maybe you're lucky with yours. I was basing my knowledge off of two trucks, but in the big picture that is a small sample size of the number of '14 cascadias in the fleet. So I guess I shouldn't state it as fact that they ALL have the same characteristics.
