Well I am obviously new here. I've had little experience driving a truck. I drove a F250 for a number of years for a demolition company, occasionally I would have to drive the old Ford F700 Dump truck as well.
A few days ago I purchased a truck on eBay for a business I am starting, I was under the impression that I would not need a CDL to operate this truck. Apparently I was wrong. I do not have the money to go to a truck driving school so I'm wondering what my options are to obtain a CDL. The truck is a 1983 Ford C-8000 with an automatic transmission. I'll post a picture below.
Any help is appreciated.

Grab a DMV hand book and get to studying rent a truck go to DMV take your cdl driving test you dont need actual school
coalnation Thanks this. -
I got a low interest loan and paid like $100 a month for my school when I got a job. It more than paid for itself over the years. As stated above. School isn't required to obtain a cdl. It just helps get it quicker IMO.

You also need the DOT Medical card to obtain a CDL.
