No Codes! No Lights!

Many thanks! About 700k on the DOC. At the dealer I remember all of the above being discussed….I think? These guys are known to be the best in my area…for a Cummins anyway. Ok, it’s been three days and about 1600 miles with my new DPF and zero regens, no halfway, nothing! Fixed? Maybe. However, for the last two days I’ve been watching the MP gauge more than the road. After a coast then to full load it goes to the mid 30s then fades to 27 or so. Also getting more MP from the engine brake sometimes than I can with the gas pedal. Did a soap test at just a high idle and getting some foam from the CAC. Now…parked close to Peterbilt. Tomorrow… gonna install a new CAC if they have one. Thoughts?

Best to do a decay test on it. All CAC’s leak, just a matter of how much.

 

That was my first thought as well, if ecm was pulled off the old engine, does it match, was it flashed and updated when reinstalled.

 

Did the CAC decay test. Pressured it to 35 psi and lost less than 10 psi in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later still had 20. According to a famous ISX YouTuber, that’s plenty good. Fourth day since new DPF and no regens yet! Yippeee!
Gonna just keep running it and see what happens. Thanks for all the help!!!!!

 

Bored and read your thread @ other site. I 100% disagree with there DPF cleaning strategy. Blow and bake and Cummins reman didn't work for me and lot of others in my area. Once I started having them ultrasonically cleaned is when our DPF preventive maintenance program actually became a success. Detroit has said all along that air knife will never fully remove ash. Cummins finally gave up on there reman DPF program, average life was less than 1 year. Paccar now endorses the "wet cleaning" strategy.
