Thousands of company drivers should get their head out of their butts than, and realize that they’re selling themselves short and wasting time they will never get back…. Hate all you want. For 1500 a week I can work as a mechanic or a service manager sleeping home every day. If I’m away from home for few weeks and exposed to all sorts of obstacles than at least I want to see what I work for. Sorry if you don’t agree

It's a flatbed, a better paid market. Then they don't pay for empty miles, so your rate is less than 70 cpm. I'm sure you don't get many loads like this one. And the pay is for 2 weeks of work.

Yes, it's illegal to be paid by 1099 when you're a company driver. I don't know why the government doesn't enforce the law. Or I do know why.

You’re right I don’t get many loads like that one, however 3500 paid miles a week compensates well for the empty miles. I dont do 400 miles a day like melton, tmc etc. Also the company has many other perks like dot inspectio bonus, quarterly mileage bonus, driver facing camera .02 cpm bonus. Bring a driver and get a referral bonus. Winter month they give .05 cpm more at the end of of quarter since we run west mostly.

So actually my rate is more than .75cpm

I don’t think you’re getting what I’m trying to say. Why settle for less when opportunities are endless. Also why do people open their stinker and assume someone is getting ripped off when they don’t see their paycheck and what kind and how much of work they put in.

How do you do 4000 total miles per week legally? It's like 600 miles every single day.
I did 600 miles today and it took me a little over 10 hours of driving.

I didn't see any extras on the pay check.

The opportunities are limited, you just don't get the whole picture.

I never done 4000 miles. Max was about 3800…. Are you governed and running east with traffic? Or you’re kicking it back stopping every hour for a break?
This is from last Monday heading west from Indiana. Total on duty and driving for the day was 11 hours 21 minutes. This is Motive btw not some Russian Sputnik log book.

Extras don’t come on the check. They come first week of the quarter.

Another thing you probably don’t see is 200 or so that are taken out every month for insurance to stay compliant as a sub contractor since I’m a 1099 and need to have my own insurance. Which I purchase through company.

For the same reason you don’t bust ### as others do.
Dunno Sherlock. Listen to your terminal manager and be a good driver, maybe in 2 years Western Express will give you a .02c raise.
