Good to know. My engine is definitely not shaking nor any smoke coming out. I have been idling my engine now for 3 hours. Please see attached.

    Rideandrepair and 77fib77 Thank this.

Popping out the intake sounds like a broken rocker arm. Seen it happen a few times on DDs.

Freddy57, Rideandrepair and 77fib77 Thank this.

Is this your truck, or company owned?

I'm not sure. I just turned off the truck and will see tomorrow morning if it turns over

If I were you, find someone close by to give a an in-depth diagnosis. There’s no way I’d chance driving from NM to Chicago to have some hair brained mechanic your dispatcher slams back drinks with.

    Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

Thanks. I will see if I can find someone tomorrow. My worry is if it is a big job and my truck will be in the shop for weeks, then I'm better off going to Chicago. At least there I will be able to get a loaner truck and I can hold them accountable. I have been with this company for 2.5 years and they have done me right.

I don't understand dead batteries and using starting fluid??!! starting fluid doesn't juice up the batteries And you would have really really had to have poured to starting fluid to it to cause any real damage. especially with most starting fluid, it's pretty weak...
If.you are having long crank no starts you have other problems

Depending on what the actual condition is, you ‘may’ wind up getting to Chicago, and having an engine not worth repairing. Maybe, maybe not.
