cricket is excellent for the service areas, but the problem with cricket is, you have to be in a service area. that's basically just in and around the larger US cities, elsewhere it wont be available.

I called Millenicom, they are talking about providing voice sometime durin '09 using VOIP over cell phones for $39.99 unlimited; that seems like a good idea. I wonder why the big guys haven't thought of that?

Millenicom was a reseller for Sprint. They used the Sprint network, but switched to Verizon towers. Their offer was like $60 a month, no contract when I checked them out. They claim there is no cap, but I would be very specific if I were to contact them regarding service.
Someone else mentioned the Slingshot, which may be right up your alley. I personally use Sprint, and I don't really mind contracts.Last edited: Mar 12, 2009

Yeah i am considering Slingshot, seems to be growing and easy to top up. But the 5 gigs a month, i dunno if i can keep under that! lol

I think Slingshot is the best way....no contract same service as sprint (uses sprints towers). This way we don't have to worry about US address etc.

Yeah i save my downloads for when i am home. My tv shows, series and such i download off torrent. I would never download them on the road. #### i just downloaded 12 gigs off torrent in the last 24 hours. LOL
I think i will go Slingshot. Atleast if i don't like i can easily stop using it.
Thx for the info! -
RBPC Thanks this.
