    Thoughts?!?!?

Truck Drivers Say They Won't Deliver To Cities with Defunded Police Departments

ps: post from a female driver, friend of the wife's :

"I would absolutely go to CHAZ. I have a couple close friends there and the media is lying about the events, even using fake photos.

What's really happening is peaceful protesters are hanging out in a park, potlucking, sharing ideas and discussing solutions.

I refuse to go to Minneapolis and did so Tuesday before last, refusing a load there. There were no repercussions for me. I've made it explicitly clear that I will refuse to go to any area with active rioting and my company understands this. It might screw up my miles and has, but I do not care. The kind of freight we haul is not worth risking unsafe areas and can easily be rescheduled. As far as food loads we do haul (dry van) they can live without gatorade, pancake mix, cereal and oatmeal etc. for a short time.

My company has also informed us that before we go through an area with recent active rioting, we are to park, and call operations on the latest events and whether to proceed or not and what route changes to make."

    ^^ She drives for WST.

I’ll drive anywhere under any conditions. I know no different. I’ve been in and out of pretty much all the hotspots over the last couple of weeks. Almost got boxed in going down on offramp in Atlanta
as there were some gathering there.

I’ve always been pretty good with people and can think on my feet. I know how to reason and talk people down. If they decide to do me in anyhow, then I guess it was my time. I’ve never lived my life in fear and I’m not about to start now over this. LOL

My mom moved to a small town near Little Rock, Arkansas, as a teenager with her family. She had a quite an adverse set of experiences when it came to law enforcement.

At 15 she and all of her friends drank on the weekend. They were pulled over with a large amount of alcohol in the vehicle and the police officer told her she needed to come with him. She told him she did not want to be arrested and he told her that wasn't what was happening here. He was telling her that sexual acts got them out of these kinds of situations. He took the alcohol and marijuana from them, had sex with one of the other minors in the vehicle and that was that. Less than a week later there were 2 men that pulled up in their gas station to get fuel, one black and one white, in the same car. My mom and her friends were waiting there to meet up with a couple of other people when a truck pulled up with a couple of locals inside. The one man got out, shot the black man and that was that. When it went to the court, the front lawn of the building had men with shot guns standing outside. The judge asked the shooter why he shot him and his simple reply was "He was a n*****". That was that. The judge said okay, the man walked free. This was the late 1970's.

It’s just not worth it to run the truck until this is over. You could be attacked and defend yourself and end up killing one of these dumb ##### or end up dead yourself.
