I know of a guy that back in 93 got a class 4 misdameanor for domestic violence...man what a dumb a.. that guy was, should have gotten his a.. beat real bad. Anyway, he cleaned his life up since and still married to the same woman. He has since gotten in the military, got his CDL years ago, Hazmat, TWIC and PassCard.. Some things just don't show up. When he got into the military they asked about felonies and domestic violence. He was honest with the recruiter and the recruiter checked and found nothing. So, this guy checked it out himself and went down to the local gun shop and filled out one of those...FFL's. It came back and said he was good to go...the rest as they say is History. So,,the moral of the story, some things just don't show up, but your taking a chance by lieing... I personnaly have been lucky in the past and just never got caught doing some things I shouldn't have been doing... I do not take advantage of this luck now, that is forsure. I am a firm believer in that; If you have and keep integrity, things will get better. Someone will give you a break sooner or later. At first, they will keep their eye on you, so don't screw it up. After a while, your past will be just that, the past.

Did anyone notice this thread was dead for 2 years before someone drug it up out of the graveyard. As far as something that happened 30 years ago, that should be overlooked. Anything past 10 years should be dropped, and if it was in the 80's no one would find that anyways...They didn't keep records like they do now a days.

Yep, I did notice...LOL I guess thats why the moderators keep them.. I have found some that are from 3 years ago and only have to posts.. I was thinking the moderators should just delete them but maybe not..
I agree with you on the fact that they don't keep records like they used to... -
Not to mention that someone bring up an old post can still be helpful to other people with the information that is there.
SheepDog Thanks this. -
Yeah, but usually when they do it, they respond like they are helping the person, who has forgot about the thread and possibly this forum. Then you have 20 yayhoo's that comment like they are helping to, because now they think it is a new thread
ThaWarLock and SheepDog Thank this. -
Yes, that is funny!!!! I have come across more then one of those too. Even more funny when you see the person that asked the question has one post from 2 years ago, and never to post again!!!!SheepDog and ThaWarLock Thank this.
