Are both heater hoses hot? If one is cold either you have an air lock or a plugged heater core.
-
I'll grant you that but it the AC doesn't cycle the compessor seal will dry up and rot.
-
Not to be a naysayer but I understand that modern a/c systems no longer have to worry about cycling during the winter since they have new seal technology. Just what I heard from the guy who works on my a/c system.
The old systems (dating back to the 50's) had a carbon seal that would be damaged if any rust or debris got on the compressor shaft... so it was suggested that the system be run to eliminate the possibility of rust. -
Well OP are you warm yet?
-
Still not warm... I'll have to check and see if both hoses are warm but I think my problem lies on the fan itself m... It kicks on only seconds after startup no matter how cold it is and stays on until I get down the road and goes off for a few seconds but kicks right back on. I do see that I gave a couple air lines off....1 is white and it is on the driver side fire wall under the antifreeze container... And there is a white one under the cab near the cab air bags that not going to anything and when I start the truck the fan free wheels and this white air line releases air and then the fan kicks in.

How do I add pics?

Go to "Go Advanced", click "Manage Attachments", and upload from there. Or, upload to a hosting service, and click on the little yellow square in the post message, then paste the web address of the picture there.
