As far as the speed issue I think the fuel bonus can make up for that as well as being safer.

Not sure where you are located but if you are near a Superior Carrier terminal check into to them. Good pay, good benefits, and home frequently. It's pulling tankers if you are interested in that type of trucking.

How are your trainers out there? I start with Prime Orientation this coming Monday Nov 4'th. I have done my research as much as I could I believe and it was a easy decision to go with Prime because I really havn't heard anything bad about them except for a few bad experiences with trainers but like any job I imagine that is going to be the case anywhere. I am recently out of the military so I think I can handle working with about anyone.

You get to talk with the instructers and trainers before you ever leave out. I found a trainer that is great. Just choose wisely if you can get that option.

I'll just pay them back $50 a week or something. Also how am I supposed to get my hazmat when it'll be 3 months by the time I get home.

I jumped off this guys truck last year in OH. My DM asked me to get back on the truck until we get to CA.
So I did what they asked, it was a very dumb thing to do in my case. Kinda like going back to an x-wife.
When you do not feel good about the trainer or co-driver, get off the truck ASAP. Keep notes, and keep them private till needed. A good trainer or mentor will enjoy teaching you his or her trade if worth their salt.

Good luck getting anyone to hire you while your under contract, even if you quit your still under contract no compete clause.
