Ha! I had a Slurpee earlier, and am on my 3rd hour at a restaurant across the street. I'm tired as heck (been up for a long time), and want to crash in my berth well before it starts to cool here.

I doubt they'd ever even consider it, but it would seem to me that Schneider should pay for a motel room if I'm stuck in a non-idling state (I'm on my reset) and they don't provide APUs, etc. I'm not a wuss and can deal with a good amount of heat. I have a fan and window screens, and the ability to sleep in a tank top and underwear and just deal with it, but this is excessive. With as much concern there is with driver fatigue, I'm surprised there aren't more considerations about this with the states and/or companies.

Get a stainless steel milk bucket 9 quarts, a dc powered fan, and a 2.00 bag of ice, put the ice in the bucket and have the fan set to blow air past the bucket. It will cool off your sleeper enough to allow you to sleep.
