I mean tow trucks as in operating a tow truck. Regarding auto carriers, I think Hansen and Atkins has program for trainees. Look them up and give them a call. I looked at their website and found nothing besides the applications.

I heard they do make decent money and they do go where they have too; which is all over the lower 48. I'm not sure about training a driving from start.

My father drives for them. He complains but then he complains about everything. They got a bunch (about 15-20) of new prostars with maxxxforce engines and have been having problems with them. My father has a cummins and refuses to give it up for a new truck.

It's looking like another company that goes downhill after the son takes over by the way.

The panhandle is good because you are near I10. Florida in this thread is referring to the peninsula south of I10

I talked to Werner the other day. They sounded encouraging, however I still need to finish school. Was told to let them know when I finish. Next week I'm going to get my HazMat rolling. I know Werner isn't the most liked on here, but I am also looking at other companies. EPES looks real good to me. Will be giving them a call soon.

Werner has the Dollar General out of Alachua which is a good fit for some people. Pretty physical work and you need to be comfortable driving the truck in tight spaces, but I believe it's weekly hometime and southeast driving which is nice, avoid the snow for the most part.
