heyl and if im not mistaken marten has a fl, regional and premiere hires out of fla as they have a terminal somewhere up there near ocala try service trucking out of eustice, dtl out of sanford, lct,lessors inc,honey transport ,davis ,pullen bros,abco and doesnt crete/schaffer hire out of fl or ffe and swift might have started back

Actually, almost all of the people I've worked for over the years were not rich people. They were hard working, talented individuals that deserved every dime they made.
They were also smart enough to understand that to receive the loyalty of their employees they had to deserve it. It could not be a one way street. They were smart enough to know that if you treated people like expendable machines you were going to get minimal output from them. It you treated them like fellow human beings you would get much more in output than you paid for. I believe that these principles should apply to the trucking industry!

 

Roehl is not hiring west of Tallahassee south of I-10.

I actually got a reason from them. It is to difficult to get loads in and out of that area. They will hire out of Pensacola, but not east of FL 87 south of I-10. Pretty much most of the panhandle beachside.

I am really thinking about moving back to middle Tennessee.

 

According to Roehls website they are hiring in Ormond Beach and above.

Go down by the entrance to the big paper mill there in PCB and watch which companies trucks go in and out of there. Make notes as to who's trucks you see and start burning up the phones to those companies.

 

I go out to Smurfitt Stone in PCB, WBT hauls a lot in there and might have openings. Aggregate transport is in PCB, they're local and haul a variety of materials. This response is not for the original poster, this is in reference to the driver in PCB..............

 

Now why did I not think of that...

 

Just an update, I sat at Smurfitt for 2 hours yesterday waiting to unload fuel wood, what a joke. If you happen to come down there looking for companies who haul in there stop by and say hello, god knows I could use the company sitting there that long
