Why do I get the feeling that you are referring to night driving? Yes, I totally and utterly agree with you on usin the highbeams at night to flash someone over is preposterous and down right unsafe. But we are talking about day driving here.
Well, if that first part was something every cop cared about, you'd see a lot more big trucks pulled over on the side of the road for flashin other drivers over when they pass...... or to warn other drivers who may or may not have a CB of a hazard that they may encounter down the road.....
No more flashing!

Because others thank you doesn't make it right. The fact is, it is rude.
If you wish to be rude I can't stop you, but don't think you are doing a good thing. You are not. -
Why is this so hard for you to understand? Flashing high beams in peoples mirrors is not helpful.
-
HMMM, I cant imagine anyone thanking someone for doing something supposedly rude or unsafe..... But maybe thats just me, I spose.
-
Yeah, at night. But I just cant get myself to agree with you on the the subject of doing it during the day and apparently, not a whole lot of people do either because i saw it every day when I drove during the day.
-
I knew this was a piggy thread!!

Facts are facts. You not wanting to accept them doesn't make you right. It is rude to flash high beams in peoples eyes. Day or night. If you like to be rude continue to do so. I can't stop you. Don't think you are being helpful though. You are part of the problem not the solution.
-
And what makes you so right?? Just because you are ONE person at this very point that doesnt agree with it, my self and other people who do it are automatically branded as rude?? OK, I see how this works.
-
try this simple rule,,,when you can see the ENTIRE front end of the truck you just passed in your right side mirror, you are well past cutting him off,,THEN turn on your signal and change lanes. it's the idiot who thinks he needs to get right back over as soon as his trailer passes your door that gets me

You don't get it. It is always rude to flash high beams in another drivers eyes. That is a fact. You don't like it? Tough, facts are facts.
