:shock:Courtesy that's what it boil's down too. With that said it's kinda hard to do the right thing nowaday's. These modern truck's have daytime running light's so you have to shine your bright's and that's annoying.
There's also some company's out there that tell to Not flash your light's, cause if some one get's into an accident you could get part of the blame for shining your light's.(safety issue)
    #### if you do, ###### if ya don't. I know I'll flash my light's for as long as I'm drivin the big road.:Road:

To those of you who don’t flash thanks when I signal you've cleared me when passing:

Your rudeness is underwhelming. Your parents must be so proud.

May I have the name of the finishing school you attended?

(I'm not going to stop signaling. I refuse to be like that.)

This part I fully agree with. If somebody flashes you over regardless if you felt it was necessary or not, the least you can do is tap a few times on the four-way button or marker light interrupt switch. If you didn't see it that's fine but at night, there shouldn't be any confusion.

Noted. If you want to flash over every driver that passes you, that's fine, nobodys stopping you. I was like that once but it got old real quick which is why I only flash if I think its necessary.

To understand the lights thing does anyone know that the lights flashing was from the two lane highway days with no turbos and no cb's when passing was a real hair raiser at times? To me doing it on the interstate is pointless most of the time unless I want to let someone know they can cut in sooner than safe for traffic.

I know I still flash my lights and it is annoying when the driver that comes back over does not say thanks :biggrin_25513:

Nowadays you also have to look at the liability issues.

What if they hit someone moving over? They will say you gave them the all clear.

They can say that whether you flash them or not.

And yet with all that has changed over the past 20 years with everybody bein so sue happy, you think any of them drivers who get pissed off because you didn't flash them over ever stop and think about the "other" possible reasons why the truck they just passed didn't give them the "c'mon back over" signal?? Especially if the truck that refrained from flashing was a truck owned by one of the bigger companies that supposedly tells their drivers not to flash?

its amazing how the simplest things to realize are the hardest to recognize.

I didn't go through every reply, however, I just don't get the problem here.

If a quick flash of the brights during the day bothers you, you have more important mental issues to deal with.

If a quick flash of the brights at night truly blinds you, a)use your peripheral vision, and b)you may have a problem with night driving. Go get it checked.

If you didn't flash someone over, and they flash their running lights once over, maybe, just maybe, they were thinking that they missed your flash, and were thanking you just in case.

It's amazing how so many people get so uptight over little things that they do, but others don't. We're not all clones, people. We don't all show the same signs of respect. Get over yourselves, and move on, and be happy.
