No more pets for Crete

i believe it was just last year that a driver was ticketed for smoking in his truck. Canada i believe.. in violation of a recently passed ordinance: no smoking in the workplace..

 

I am animal person. but if you climb into SOME trucks that have had pets they REEK. some people treat their trucks like their house and only clean when company comes over. so I can see the reason they changed the program. when I got my truck at that big white truck company they had it detailed and it still stunk! took me 3 weeks to get it clean enough to close the windows on it. and it was a no pet non smoker truck

 

In Canada smoking is allowed in the truck as long as it is never assigned to a NON smoker and if team or slip seat operation others are smokers, so that means a company has to basically keep 2 spares 1 smoked 1 non smoked.

And Rover stays at home , sad to see some of these poor animals who DO NOT WANT to be in a TRUCK , the noise alone must be overwhelming with their inhansed hearing.

Only user companies who have a tight grip on the testicles of the new to trucking can pull this off. Namely one company named after a well known northern European island.
Folks are so keen to keep in the job they go along with it with a view to escaping pronto! Nobody wants to run team, well rarely anyway. It is extremely limiting and a small truck is no place to cram two healthy adults together. Even married couples run the risk of killing each other.
No, no, no Crete is not going to go the way of CRST.
