You can find toll rates online, just google a phrase, like "toll rates by state" or if you know certain states you want to know how much the tolls are plug that in. Don't know if your husband has a laptop with internet in his cab, if not then he has you, he can call ahead and ask you to look it up, let you know what bridges/toll bits he'll be running and then you can get a general idea from that. I've had to do it for mine when he was running NY (state we live too lol) and wanted to know what the new toll rates were after they did an increase.

well he made it into his consignee great cost 40 bucks to go through tolls he assumed on the way out it would be the same price...negative. he said he liked 1 buck having enough cash to pay toll and they took his license and turned him around to go find an atm! my husband isnt making enough money to pay the bills let alone loan out money to TMC. they have got to figure something out, they cant expect this to work permanently.

Aw geez, that is crazy! I imagine he's not the only one having issues, maybe they'll come up with a new resolution for everyone as I don't think they'd like the phones blowing up because of toll issues. I could be wrong though, maybe they like the conversation lol

If you're going into an area that's difficult to impossible to get out of without paying a toll (Long Island for example), figure your exit tolls into your comchek request and save yourself the trouble.

Logistically this is going to cost TMC more than just sticking with EZPass. Figure in the delays in trip planning trying to get the toll amounts, the delay and out of route miles finding a place to get and cash the comchek, they delay getting ahold of your FM (I'll bet yours doesn't answer every single time, mine doesn't), and the increased load on the dispatch crew fielding all the incoming calls and providing the codes. The cost/benefit ratio can't be favorable.

Not to mention the com check cashing fee. If you don't buy fuel it's $2-$3 just to cash it. I had to get a com check for the Tacoma Narrows bridge in WA a couple days ago, $10 toll $3 com check cashing fee. This can't be saving them money.

Funny story about that trip, they sent me a load with 200 mile bounce, I kept plugging it into my GPS and no matter how I routed it the shortest route was 290 miles. If I didn't take the Narrows bridge it would have been 335 miles. So I called my FM and asked him to fix the bounce miles, he says "google shows it as 201." So I ask him how I can get google on my QC being the smart ### that I am, then I ask him to trace the route for me so I can follow it on my GPS and atlas. He says "just take 112 to the 101 to 20." Now I'm looking at my atlas and GPS scratching my head because the 20 dumps into the Puget Sound, no bridge. I tell him "it says Townsend Fry, doesn't look like a bridge to me" and I keep sounding it out in my head trying to make sense of it but I know I can't cross there. Then it dawns on me, Towsend Fry=Townsend Ferry. He was trying to route me on a ferry across the Puget Sound... Needless to say he fixed the bounce and I bounced sans boat.

LOL It's funny the stuff FM's come up with. One time I was in Mid central Wisconsin somewhere and I get a load coming out of Iron Mountain. All the sudden my FM call ME! My first thought is "Oh sh## this can't be good." He says. "Yeah I was looking at the load and the miles didn't add up. They seemed really short for WI all the way over to MI. Did you know there is some of MI north of WI?" I was glad I wasn't driving because I probably would have ran off the road. He was a young kid and that coupled with the sound in his voice was just too much.

This weeks pay settlement is up and I checked mine, turns out TMC is still charging us the rental fee for the PrePass+, and I found a new charge, a 25 cent driver advance fee. What the hell is that? It was under the PrePass+ rental fee on page two of the settlement. Anyone else still being charged rent for their PrePass+ and has anyone else seen this driver advance fee? I've taken no advances on anything by the way, ever.

They're not charging you a quarter for comcheks are they? That's an odd amount, twenty five cents...Call and ask them what's up with the fee (as I'm sure you will lol)
