No More Speedway Fuel Discounts at NASTC?

Just when I was about to return to fueling at Speedway, an email is sent informing all NASTC members about this change taking effect on 9/16/2019. I wonder what caused the change. Did TA/Petro agree to pay NASTC more if they eliminated Speedway, a fierce competitor? I gotta say some of Speedway locations had a super big discount (about 15 cents cheaper) compared to the TA/Petro nearby like we see in Effingham, IL.

I bet that's why. They figure that they are so cheap that they dont need to get any lower. That one in Efffingham is one of my favorite locations. I saw the location off I-90 at 2.69 pump price last night, Elgin, IL location

    I didn’t hear that.

That Effingham one had great pricing for sure.
    Too bad.

I seriously doubt that TA/etro had anything to do with speedways business plan.

I wonder if they were lured away by another fuel card company?
It’s sure a strike against nastc I buy a good bit of fuel at speedway.

I think Pilot owns Speedway now and Nastc hates Pilot, so maybe that's why.
Also the Speedway was very cheap lately compare to Ta/Petro, that was pretty strange and maybe that is one of the reasons too.

I may have found a new fuel card. Just got off the phone with transconnect services they have a self funded card with no sign up fee, membership or swipe fee as long as you stay in network.
Along the lane I run ta/petro they were a penny cheaper than nastc. Speedway they were a penny more.
Have to read all the fine print here in a little bit.

2-3 days ago somebody called me and asked if I need a fuel card. The men said he is from transconnect services. I thought he is a scammer. )))
