    Thank you. Reading is a critical skill for a trucker.

    By the way, if you travel the posted speed limit in California, you either get your doors blown off or create a hazard. I opt to set cruise control so I am rarely gaining on the truck that is well ahead of me. If a governed truck pulls out to commence a multi mile pass I kick out of cruise and slow down to help get that trucker around me asap. There's no benefit to stacking up traffic.

    Coming down Cajon the truck speed limit is 45 mph. That's what I stay at until I pass the scales. CHP has been enforcing that hard in the last few weeks, as an FYI for those that want to blaze on down riding the bumper of a 4 wheeler.

    There were maybe hundreds of LEO's working on the 4th between Gallup and Fontana. At least a couple dozen truckers were getting an Independence Day gift.

    Appreciate the heads up but I'm not allowed in commiefornia. 4 corners is as far west as i run now with the exception of a trip or two a year to nellis.

    20 years ago I was getting 6mpg.
    Pete 379 a Cat 3406 and a 48’ Great Dane refer. And doing the speed limit or 5 over.
