To the OP. You said that the company said blah, blah, blah. Who said? Your DM? Your FM? Or someone just fillin in? If all you have done is talk to some low level flunky who only cares about getting the hell out of dodge at quittin time. Then you need to call the FM or the Terminal Manager. Remeber if it doesn't seem right it probility isn't. Also above all your job---your licence---your money.

I hear that lol -
I let the sitiation drop with my dbl. He concurred with what swing shift told me after i asked him if he knew about my situation and from that point on, i knew he wasnt on my side. Hopefully i will get through the June safety blitz without a problem, but if i get a ticket, either the company can pay it or ill find someone to make them pay it and then some. I know its well within my rights to park the truck but i can either make a stand and lose my job or let things be and risk a ticket or more. Suddenly a schneider union doesn't sound so bad... -
1. When did you notice the plate was missing?
2. Why are you driving a truck without a plate?
Yes, SNI could smack your DAC if you raise a stink about this, but imagine how much of a stink your gonna raise if you get DOTed, and smacked with a ticket? And while I realize that according to Rerun there are no CSA points to the driver for no plate, I'd be willing to bet you would be placed out of service until you get a plate on the front of that truck. An being placed out of service does show up on your CSA record, regardless of who the ticket is written to. I know this because I had a truck placed out of service in March, and even though the OOS tickets were written to the company, I still have the OOS on my CSA report. It's shown up alot over the past couple of weeks as I look for work. -

Update! Finally issued my plate today and managed not to receive a ticket after driving on registration only. After the OSRs heard about my situation, a second phone call was placed to the permit department. Turns out (from the head of permits herself) it IS ILLEGAL to drive without a license plate and a temp should have been issued. So...
