you have to do a forced regen and sit there for 45 minutes while it happens. STUPID STUPID TRUCKS.

They sell these trucks with a Cummins, although it's getting better, even for them, and less of them all the time as th resale figures pile up; the ISX will take 45 minutes to do a parked regen if it's working right, the Detroit takes as long as 15, and those will regen driving down the road without even running the equipment to do it.
Mine take less than 10 minutes, either parked or driving, and you can barely tell it's happening from inside or even from the trucks next to it.
For what it's worth, and as many of them as are out there, I see no more FL Cascadias on the hook than anything else, but see more on the other side of the Interstate moving than anything else. On Thursday in Chicagoland, it seemed to be the day of the Volvo, and there weren't that many of those. -
It should have a shutdown over ride button...
Hold it in and try to start it.
Then it will need a parked regen.
I drove a 2014 Cascadia with the same engine.
Mine tried to shut off one day and I held that over ride button in until i got 20 miles to get to a truck stop... -
My 2012 ISX prostar has only done 1 parked regin in 298000 miles. That was the first month I was in it. I idle all the time. It blows a lot of white smoke in the morning but gets it done going down the road.
About a month ago the park regin warning light came on
as I was driving down the road. I downshifted and ran my RPMs around 15-1600 for about 10 miles and it went out. Hasn't come back on since -
I know mine will only do it if the Maxi's are on.

You guys are fantastic! First time in any thing over 2000 (2015 cascadia) woke up to the truck shutting off and flashing the Regen. Never had a truck that even had the regen. Started it and held the button but the stop engine light didn't turn off. Got worried and hopped on here. You guys are great!!
