No restrooms?!

I like to be on time as well, but not at the risk of crapping myself. Sure that would make a GREAT impression with the customer huh?

 

With some of the drivers I have seen, how would you know?

I'm usually impressed when a driver has crapped themselves. It shows a strong work ethic and committment to the customer. I know you're not going to beleive this but earlier today I was talking to my boss and I was remarking about how awesome it was that the driver that came in for a log audit had crapped himself, it was AWESOME!

 

New requirement for OTR drivers.

 

The load planner who dispatched me on a load that was already late to pick up when I got it.

Um, yeah I've been to a few places that didn't have bathrooms we could use.

 

The last company I worked for had that that policy for a short while. I worked at a drying plant. We unloaded liquid and loaded powder. The corporate office in another state instituted the policy for our plant. It's was all about liability like if they tripped and fell on the way to the bathroom. The plant manager was a total company yes man. I protested that you cannot do that to the truckers. He said they can stop and go before they get here. #########. I said, to paraphrase, to do that to the trucker dirvers is immoral. He must have went back to corporate with my sentiments becasue a week later, we were painting a safety yellow walkway for truckers to get to the bathroom.

 

I often wonderd what all those piles of s*&% were in their parking lot!

Seriously, though. If they can't even be humane enough to put a porta-Johnny out, crap in a Walmart bag and leave it for them to deal with. I refuse to carry a camp-squatter in my truck. I do have a large plastic drink cup for those sudden gotta-pee-right-now moments, but I just can't bring myself to crap inside my truck.
