Can you tell if the radio is actually getting power, like demonstrated by indicator lights on the face?

 

Turn RF gain and volume to the right.
Turn squelch to the left.
Let us know if you hear something.

I had a help desk job in the printer department over at GM for a bit in between consulting jobs. I had logged at least 10 calls a week about printers not printing, every one of them the printer was either turned off or was disconnected.

 

If you got lights, and turn all the knobs as directed, and ensure everything is connected properly, and you still have nothing. Try another mic.

 

Mic shouldnt make a diff to incomming static..Cant remember for sure on the cobras but i still get noise on my strykers with no mic mike..
