was talking to a driver at volvo yesterday that had the same prob as u

they told him $1000 for dash, install, and reprogram

 

$700ish for the dash 1hr to instal, 1.5hr to reprogram. so $1000 ish is what he said

 

it doesn't matter how long it takes they go by BOOK TIME...! so ya they may have it in and reprogramed in 30 min but the book said XXX so you pay for XXX... the only time it works for you is if i take longer and it almost never does.

book said 8hr's to do my egr cooler and 2 egr valves, i paid for 8 hr's, the mechanic got paid for 8hr's. they started working on it at 1200 and had it out the door at 1745..!

 

it is easier to fix, and cheaper
