No trailer brake lights!!!!!!

    Hello can anyone help figure this tedious headache out???? I have lights to both units tractor and trailer but whenever I apply my brakes I get only the brake lights on the tractor but no trailer brake lights I have connected to several trailers and the issue is the same no trailer brake lights does anyone have a clue what this could be I have a new pigtail and a new connector which the pigtail connects to at the back of the tractor and still no brake lights on the trailer im at wits end with this one!!!

    Sounds like a bad wire going to the tractor connector. Figure out which pin it is and check it for power with someone applying the brakes to confirm or rule out.

    Did you check fuses? Had same issue except lower parking lights.

    Step 1, take a screwdriver and spread the prongs on your pigtail. Each end.

    Step 2, if that don't work, see Step 3


    Step 3, hopefully you don't need to see your trailer brake lights, to know that you're slowing down

    I don't know why but my truck abs relay went out and caused the trailer brake lights to go out.

    Check where your pigtale plugs into the tractor...had the same problem it was a broken pin on the tractor plug.

    That is an indication of an incomplete ground...

    I had this with my '98 T800 a few weeks ago. After checking all fuses, pigtail and such, it turned out to be a bad trailer brake relay. It is located in the firewall, in the engine bay, on the driver side on T8.
