No Trailer Plate

    OK.....legally, you cannot run down the highway without evidence of vehicle registration attached to said vehicle, right ? However, if you lose the license plate, then you have to decide if you want to run without the plate attached and risk a citation. Now a big difference running your Toyota Corolla around town VS. running from Atlanta-Fresno and back with a piece of cardboard.

    I find that somewhat comical. I'm not saying they wouldn't arrest you for it, but to arrest you for counterfeiting with a cardboard tag would be like arresting you for counterfeit money with monopoly money.

    I've got a collection of trailer tags myself. Never used one but I hang onto them just in case. Trailer tags in TN are permanent, so one could be 50 years old and still be legitimate.
