Love the SRA-198, it’s the only mic I use now.
stacks Thanks this. -
If you can get your hands on one of these I would jump at the opportunity.
I've got one and it works great.

The SL41 is also a fine mic from what I’ve heard. Both have excellent audio quality and a more natural sound rather than the tinny sound in a RK56 or 636L

Gotta agree with Rabbi. I snatched an SL-41 up before the relatively short production run ended

What radio are you using with that mic

This one.
Oldironfan and stacks Thank this. -
I would probably go with a ranger sra 198 it’s a lot cheaper than the mic you mentioned .

I really like the sra 198 mic with this cobra 25 that I use. The audio was a little weak sounding due to the noise canceling feature of the mic. So I had to mod the audio circuit a bit in the radio, and now it sounds great. I suppose if I ever use this mic on my other radios, I will have to adjust the audio circuit in them too. I sure like the sound of this mic, plus it’s well built.
stacks Thanks this.
