I’m starting to notice something.
Every so often I’ll pick up noise through my CB consistent with an engine. The offenders always seem to be Fords with V-8 gas engines.
Anybody else notice this?
Noise from neighboring vehicles.

I've never noticed it with Ford vehicles, but I have heard a high pitched noise once in a blue moon while passing a big truck. The noise would disappear after I pass the truck. At first I thought maybe my radio was picking up a harmonic signal from their eld, or else it was from their inverter. I've always wondered what kind of noise level their radio must of had.

All of this is from the system computers within the vehicles, it is called ultrasonic harmonics.
Ford has serious issues with it, they know about it. Some of their cars are so bad that you can hear them coming on an AM radio.
Freightliner - Cascadia is the worst - and some petes/KW have the problem too and they know about it. -
I notice with Tesla's. Also, anytime I pull into an Amazon facility with all the cameras and license plate readers.

Notice it some from other vehicles. Some reefers seem to have electronic noise. Had 1 very dirty inverter in a truck haven't noticed it in others. Thermo king installed the inverter.

Crapcadias are where I've noticed alot ..
The only reason you probably don't notice it around a ford is because your acclamated to it
Also most the time a ford is broke down so you probably don't hear it when your riding in the tow truck
