Good post there I must say.

I have graphite in my steer hubs.
My Qualcomm unit put a lot of noise out. Plugging anything into the usb port on the display interface unit helped but did not eliminate that noise.
Then the company switched to peoplenet. That system doesn't seem to put out any noise.slim6596 and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -

Only where the FCC has jurisdiction.

I wish I could have heard what it was like to be listening on the HR 2510 on the receive end to see how much noise he had in his receive. Even though he was sitting in the same parking lot he was unable to hear the guy I was talking to after that guy dropped down into the canyon on the far side of a mountain with three mountains in between us.
-
So how does the signal get past mountains? The signal obviously can't be line-of-sight.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I have no idea. Hopefully somebody with a scientific background could figure it out. This is a normal thing for me though.
It was just some random guy with a stock radio 16.8 miles away at his furthest distance according to the plotting website. -
Wow. Maybe it was bouncing off a lucky reflector or something that lined up just right? I wonder if it is repeatable, i.e., can it be done on a reliable basis?
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
What website are you using to get those elevation profiles? Is it as the crow flies or will it do elevation profiles for interstates?
