Actually a coil choke won’t fix a noisy receive problem. Usually common mode current on the coax effects your transmit audio, especially with dipole antennas. If someone says your audio is fuzzy, then you need an rf choke.

Yup, I had a friend who had that problem with his 160 meter dipole antenna.

Actually now that I think about it, I’ve had a couple of friends over the years that had that problem, until they used an rf coil at the feed point on the antenna.
