Will a non-moving violation (no selt belt) affect my chances of getting a job?

I would SAY NO also. I was looking at a another job but never took it awhile back. And they said as long as its NO POINTS with it ur fine.
I always way mine now since my ticket. Also if u dont have ur seatbelt on when u enter the scales. Its alot better chances u will get DOT'd because of that reason. Atleast thats what the TENN Scale man said he stoped me. 10$ ticket please :biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25510:

It is only a 1 point infraction under CSA2010 (meaning when the time factor is weighed in, you'll have 3 points for the first year, 2 points for the second, and 1 point for the third before it drops off).

So, while it probably won't have much of an effect on your employability by itself, if you have other violations, it all starts to add up.

You are assuming that the OP was issued that ticket while driving a CMV.

If he wasn't, it wouldn't affect him....but if he doesn't START wearing one when he's in a CMV, it could.

I was wearing the seatbelt. I rolled through a stop sign and the cop gave me a break. And I was in my personal vehicle .

Its not a moving violation, its an equipment violation.....just like driving through town with no muffler on your car....however you can straight pipe(s) on a cmv but just not on a gasoline pickup or car! Hope this helps!

Nope. It is no more legal to run straight pipes on a CMV than it is on a gasoline car or pickup.

Most (if not all) states have a similar law on the books.
