Noob from SWMO

Hi, I'm Luin and I like long walks on the beach, sunsets.... whoops wrong forum!!

I'm Luin and am from Springfield, MO and just like everyone else on this forum from Missouri am trying to get accepted into the Prime CDL training course here in town.

I called prime, spoke to a recruiter and asked the quickest way to get my name on his desk and start training, and he replied with fill out the app and call me ASAP and we will get you in as quick as next week (which was supposed to be sept 4)!! I about flipped my lid it could be that quick! I got the app filled out, called seth, and he looked over it and said everything looks good and to call him back the next day (which was friday). Called him back and Seth said Prime had some issues on getting ahold of my previous employers, so I gave him extra numbers and was told he would call back.

Seth called me back about 4pm on friday and said they couldnt get it processed quick enough and we would continue this on tuesday (sept 4) and get it all taken care of so I could get into the sept 11th class. Im going to call and try to get ahold of seth anyway on monday (crossing my fingers hes working).

So now the waiting....

I plan on getting my CDL and work for Prime as a Company driver as long as I can.... heard to many bad stories about leasing.

I have been watching CDL videos, reading all kinds of CDL manuals online, and am going to get my CDL permit and passport this week on wed, thur, or fri.

So thats me in a quick nutshell.

Oh and im moving out of my place, putting my stuff in a families garage, and am going to be homeless as of sept 7th, so I hope I get this opportunity

 

My recruiter wasn't at his desk Monday, I kept on thinking all day why I wouldn't get accepted and its driving me bonkers!

I have been cleaning my house like a mad man, packing stuff, selling stuff I don't want to store, and jammed out to the deftones all day.

I live in a semi busy part of Springfield and I was curious about putting some of my junk I didn't need out by the street if anyone would actually pick it up. I had a nice little grab bag set out with lots of wires two old camcorders without batteries, some Co ax cables, cat5 cables,a old joystick, a computer USB controller, good stuff that I won't use anymore EVER. I even threw in a monster logo vinyl sticker... within an hour someone snagged it! Ha!
