Chinatown Thanks this. -
You will have several job offers. The highest paying will be tanker. As for Stevens, they have a high turnover of drivers, but that's true with most mega-refrigerated carriers. Paychecks fluctuate wildly where with tankers you should have a steady $800 - $1200 a week. Melton flatbed drivers average $50K or higher per year. In the end, you just pick what you want that satisfies your needs.

I checked Beyel Brothers website and it looks real good. The Challenger Thanks this.

I wont reveal my source but hes been reliable. My colleague's b/f got his CDL and he suggested he apply to Beyel Bros. I asked about inexperienced drivers and per him they hire them. Don't know where would start out though.

Many new drivers get excellent high paying jobs by ignoring "experience required" and applying anyway. Some companies don't routinely hire new CDL graduates, but do on occasion.Roknric and The Challenger Thank this.

Take a look at Maverick. I read positive comments about them. They also have a sub forum here.
If you can't find local work, look for a company that has dedicated and regional routes. You might have to OTR a few months and then ask for one of those routes. -
Maverick doesn't hire in FL which I checked just now. However, it doesn't hurt to call and ask.
Edit: If he wants flatbed, then his bet is Melton or Cypress.
