Heh, I just got off the phone. The sales rep from North American asked me how it went over at Peterbilt. I told her the story and then she asked if I was in the market only for a new truck. I told her well, yes. She said she had a guy with a truck, an '05 with just 500K on it. I said the only way I would consider a used truck is that it would have to mileage around 300K or less. They're trying I suppose, I'm still a little pissed that my Ranco is worth less than half of what I paid for it, according to the sales manager.

Thanks Bronc, I'll look into those too. weight shouldn't be that big of a deal if it's a composite trailer. I'm getting a 387 so tare weight with that setup shouldn't be much of a problem. I'd be a little concerned If I was getting a 389 with all the flash on it I'd have to get an all aluminum trailer and I don't want to pay that much.

They're good too? -
Thats what I ended up buying. Was a good trailer. Liked it better than the fontaines and the one raven I pulled. Plus I got a good deal on it. -
The local flatbed company down the road from me here runs all reitnouer(sp.?) trailers. I don't know a thing about the cost, but I know all of those guys love 'em. I also used to run into a lot of guys out west that swore by Wilson flats, but I believe they are high dollar. Once again, that's just an assumption as I really know nothing about flats other than that I pulled a flat for a year at the beginning of my career and it was a 48' spread axle East with a sidekit.

My company that I am with now has started to slowly switch their whole flatbed fleet over to MAC's I personally prefer MAC's they look sharp and they are light. The ones we have are all Aluminum however.
