1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

This is something of a trial balloon, but let's put it out here and see what happens.

    Experience:
Driving 6 years, no accidents/incidents, lots of varied experience. Started out in foodservice delivery to NYC, and progressed through flatbed to dry box(singles, doubles, TL/LTL), to tanker(smooth and baffled, foodgrade and dirty, no HM), end dump, and now back to refrigerated again. I've done OTR, I've done metro store delivery, I've done offroad/oilfield, I've pulled doubles. I've burned the logbooks at both ends, and I've toed the line on several varieties of elogs. I've driven governed trucks (59mph, evil evil Ryder), and I've driven completely ungoverned unrestricted trucks. I've paid the lumpers, and I've unloaded my own trailer box by box with a hand cart. Bottom line, if I haven't done it already, I can learn, and I'm not scared of hard work. I've driven almost every brand of truck on the US market, behind every brand of motor, and every transmission from an 8LL to an 18sp, including 2 and 3 pedal automatics.

    Area:
As the title says, North by Northeast. My preferred driving area tends to disappear from a lot of people's maps. I don't want to go further south than MD/DE, or further west than OH. I vastly prefer running New York and New England. I'll pick up your load out in NJ or PA, and take it straight into Midtown Manhattan (in fact, I made a nice habit of that a few employers ago). I absolutely do NOT do west coast, or mid-south/southwest. Canada's not a problem, been there occasionally.

    Currently:
I am currently doing reefer for a rather large "starter company" that happens to have a decent dedicated account near me. Unfortunately, in this instance near is still an hour drive and I'm not permitted to take the truck home. Also, their trucks are spec'd out for flatland, and anyone who's driven northeast PA knows quite well this area is far from flat. On top of that, I am getting very, very tired of the grocery warehouse/lumper song and dance. It's time for a change.

    What's out there?
