I have a set of a train flat beds but don't pull them all the time. Depends what your wanting if your wanting to pull 4 axle 53 ft with 4 axle truck wheelbase is important I know to get the full weight in Oregon I believe it is. Probably want 13 or 18spd 500 plus horsepower. That's what I'd want if I was gonna have a steady diet of it anyways.

Yes Im looking at 53' 4axles and a 4 axle tractor 550/1850 to start with the big 18spd and big 40,000 rears with at least a 270wb. Just cant find much info here on heavy haul unless its RGN type work.

Your inner bridge is what will bite you in the ###. On the trailer you will want what they call an Idaho spread. My truck is a 254 inch wheelbase and I could scale 65000 pounds
johndeere4020 and Ruthless Thank this. -

And there you are lol

You also want a shallow Kingpin sitting on the trailer so you can get weight on the steer and still have the Bridge length
johndeere4020 Thanks this. -
Cool thanks guys.
I know I will need a big inner bridge as I run a setback axle truck now with a 244wb and a 150 inch lift to rear axle spread. We have so many different spec'd trailer that cant seem to get a straight answer on my bridge charts when going to a longer tractor wb to get to 105 from the 103 that we run. It also dosent help that pete is not offering setback axle gliders with the narrow cab anymore and Im also wanting a bigger sleeper over the 36"er Ive got and they wont install lifts under the sleeper. So far Im getting spec's of like 295"wb to get to 105 but like I said Im going crazybtrying it with our trailer spec's as I do bulk dry and wet tankers and will be switching to flats. -
Here's a couple of things to shorten that wheelbase put the batteries between the frame rails and get dual 100 gallon tanks instead of 150 it probably have to fill up every day but you gotta stop anyhow
-
I can only carry about 170 gallons on my truck because this used to have a wet kit and half of the left tank is for hydraulic fluid
