I've done it only if I don't bother anyone with my tail sticking out too far and I won't have any problems backing out. Usually it would be in the daytime in an empty lot to let the dog out.

You put yourself in a worse situation if you can't see what's coming when you leave. I have seen drivers mess up their front bumpers on high curves too. All them FLD's with the sagging fronts..... curbs.

I'm nosed in because there were no spaces I could get into with my half busted transmission when I pulled in earlier. So I went across the street to the McD's parking, which was designed by a retarded or sadistic #######, where I nearly got stuck for the night. Finally got out of there, ordered some "food" cause the escape made me hungry, and pulled across to the p'lot just in case. Sure enough, there's an open space straight ahead on the back row. Well, hell with trying to turn around.

Well, if looking for a little peace and quiet is all it takes to make me "unprofessional," then I will wear the badge proudly.

It took a really professional driver to take out the rear of that Swift and hit him so hard it ran him into the truck he was facing, now, di'nt it?

Does it really bug you that drivers nose in? Wow, I have many other things to worry about. If i do it its because of a reefer, some nasty looking perve next to me, easier when I've been driving for hours, because I want to, maybe a better view, so you don't see me cleaning my .45 acp, SAME REASONS YOU DO!

    Mommas_money_maker and Injun Thank this.

Peace and quiet is rarely found parking at a truckstop. When i want peace and quiet, a truckstop is the last place you'll find my rig.

It doesn't bother me any, I'm not the one who has to back out of it. And if it doesn't bother the guys that do it, then it shouldn't be a bother at all. The question was why do they do it. Agreed, sometimes it may just be safer in a packed lot with only one spot left that you don't want to blind side in or something, it does happen. But more often than not it's because the steering wheel holder simply lacks the skills to do their job or is too lazy to do it. This is apparent when you see them do this and the lot is nearly empty.....they are the same guys nearly scraping trucks as they try to get out after the lot fills up around them.
