Well hecknyes, I did it today with very.little issue and I whipped the bobtail back into a spot like a boss. The instructor told.me that he was guna shut up and let me do my thing. My nerves went way down
We are backing trailers today, straightline and swinging turns. Last week I let a few things live rent free in my head and decided this morning when I was getting ready that I am no longer going to allow that. I've got several ppl that I thought wanted the best for me ,prove otherwise. they have sat there and put me down and I've had enough. I AM going to do this.and I am going to get my life in order.
Not a question but an update

Went out on the road bobtail yesterday. I made a few minor mistakes..kept manhandling the #### shifter. Kept going from 6th into 9th because I went 1 inch too far. But I kinda got it. We go out next week with a trailer. I'm slowly getting it. Today will probably be working on offset and 90. I'm also working on pretrip. That's guna be a butt to manage. I keep confusing the air compressor and the water pumps. Yea yea.i know, the line from the radiator goes to the water pump. However we are learning on all three; cat, Detroit and Cummins. I'm making flash cards and also rewriting the notes over and over to get it down. It's not exactly parts, it's the wording. But I'll get it. We do pretrip test Monday after next. It's a 7 hour day today
I've got my main book and culomputer stuff.done but hazmat will be in a few weeks
I'm also learning the tanker portion of the test. It's coming together, and I know I'll get it, just takes time. -

An old driver once told me he would tell rookies to use addition to know which gear to be in. This is based on a 10 speed, by the time you are going 15 mph, you should be in 6th gear. 1+5=6. 25, 7th gear, 2+5=7. 35, 8th gear, 45, 9th gear, 55, 10th gear.

Well today was a day. We were working on backing today. Had some 4 wheel.idipt decide to come in on the live 4 trucks running range and cut right across my back. #### pavement was slick.and I'm locked it up. Took out 2 cones. He was so panicked that he took out 2 barrels right at the front of the put building where we do a scale mock pull through. Our instructor was PISSED. He about yanked the guy out and beat his butt. There's 4 huge signs that state it's a live range and no vehicles are permitted. Then my partner decided to sit there talking after being asked to stay quiet 3.times. I finally.snapped and told him to shut the #### up. We broke for lunch and after, our instructor decided that everyone was going to do 90s. Wellllllll this girl did it twice and buttered that biscuit. I felt so good. But I know that I still.need to practice. We are offsetting next week. He just wanted to see how we would do. Had an older guy look at the instructor and stated that he was going to do it his way and he didn't need tomlisten. Well they let hi. Do it his way, big surprise....he missed his marks.and took out several cones. Had a younger guy tell them instructor that his way (the student) was right.andnthen9nstructor was wrong. He kept letting the trailer drift to the left and was tanking to the right. I felt so bad for those two but they didn't listen. It's been a day for sure .
