I stand by my opinion they are a good company, however I've noticed turnover is statistically the same as it is everywhere else, which has always baffled me. I attribute that to the general attitude of truckers and not any one company. they treat me like a human being, will run me hard if I ask for it, will give me time off if I ask for it, take good care of their equipment, the pay is ok, nothing spectacular but enough to live on and take some time off, and my favorite part, they leave me alone and let me do my job.
curious to hear his story? dispatch is not hard to get along with at all there. I've seen nothing in 3 years that would indicate they suck major anything. please have your buddy share, curious if he found something better.

Most of it was crap runs with little pay...as he explained to me earlier when I brought up this thread...
He said his awaking moment was a driver that had been with your company 17 years and walked away... -
if he was local I can understand that, though I thought the local guys were paid hourly under a certain mile run. I run regional and have 2 back to back 700 mile runs to start the week, one with $105 in stop pay in NYC.
I base my decisions on my own experiences at a company, not that of others. that said, the only truly unhappy guys I've run into are the ones that worked there back in the day and made $80K a year. keep in mind they did that illegally. I could not care less who has worked there for x amount of years or why they quit, I am making money. -
I worked for Cheeseman from May, 2011 until April, 2012. I quit only because my now ex-wife, who actually rode with me in the truck for a period of time while I worked there, decided in January, 2012 that it would be cool to cheat on me, leave me for this other "man", and divorce me! Because of that very painful experience, I decided to move from Cleveland, OH to Phoenix, AZ, in an effort to distance myself from the hurt & pain she caused me.
Cheeseman was a great company to work for; I have NOTHING but good things to say about them! Although my 2007 ProStar had 611,000 miles on it when I quit, it ran GREAT (I LOVED that AutoShift trans!); they maintain their equipment VERY well.
I wish I could work for them living out here in Phoenix!
Dennisrednready Thanks this.
