Aw, c'mon man.... I thought all that chrome was experience badges??

Driver, if it's a company truck - truly what difference does it make? I wouldn't try to get too picky and potentially pass up a great job because of the fact they operate a type of truck that is outside your "cool factor". You truly only get to drive "what you want" when you buy and build it yourself. Stack some cash, then hook yourself up with that EXD.

    Merely my $0.02... :)

I thought about starting a trucking co. With 379s for people just like you. I mean if that's the only criteria I figure I can pay you about 20c a mile on a 1099 and you'll be happy as long as you got that hood to look at.

Nope that has been replaced by keeping several years of IFTA stickers plastered on the truck

Or we just mock people more concerned with a barbie doll truck than getting paid well for their work;)

A good sign of a troll is someone who wanders into a question thread with no intention of answering the question or giving the OP any useful information, but instead making derogatory comments toward the OP.

It was an honest question, @ZVar.

And that's why it gets mocked.
Look I understand wanting a nicer truck. Simple fact is it should not be the most important question when looking for a company.

I totally agree that it shouldn’t be the most important thing, and giving the OP the benefit of a doubt, he didn’t say it was the most important. He just asked a question.

Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how I read it. He makes it sound like he’s been around the business quite a while, and even owned a truck before, so surely he knows what to look for as far as pay, benefits, policies, freight, etc.

If this was a “I just got my CDL and am looking to drive a hood” thread, then I’d be right there with ya.
