Not again....

So, how do you feel about appointments?
The appointments that really piss me off, are the medical ones. All of them! Doctors will try to charge you for missed appointments, but show up on time, and you are left cooling your heels for 45 minutes in the waiting room, then another 20 in the clinic. Get set for a simple outpatient surgery, and they want you there a 0630, "for prep." So you get there, get "prepped," and then have the pleasure of sitting around in a hospital gown, with your arse hanging out, until they finally get you into the OR...At 1630.
Yeah I know, I got off topic again...

 

I entered trucking out of desperation. In the end, I found it an awesome way to drop out of society.

 

No joke.

Feels weird wearing shoes as opposed to boots and interacting with the civilian population. Almost human again.... back to work tomorrow. Lol.

On a serious note - sometimes I'm rolling along and I feel like Mitch Hedberg with a backpack and a turtle-neck (being strangled by a weak midget). The seat belt pisses me off nightly, but I'm not getting tossed should I go ditch-diving. Thankfully it has a lock so I can get it a few inches off of me, otherwise I'd be tying slipknots all the time.

I had a roomie who was a runner, like marathon man runner, a few years back. He wore pasties when in it for the 26 mile slog.
A handful of years ago I could do an 8 minute mile.... Forget that now... I've just resigned myself to fighting if I can't escape... which I probably can't. Lol. (** don't smoke, kids! - and someday you can wear pasties!)
