Heck pay him cash and nothing ever happened. Too late for that now probably.

I couldnt tell you how much cash for my troubles over the years to avoid a bigger problem. Nothing illegal mind you. A little pull here or there...

Sorry this happened to you, but things do happen.
I got blown off the road with a truck and empty pup, on ice. Damaged the tractor and took out a good chunk of Farmer Joe's fence. I got three days beach time for it, and richly deserved it.bottomdumpin, MACK E-6, 207nomad and 5 others Thank this. -
I had my first wreck about five weeks ago, a one vehicle incident. I got complacent, ended up sucked into a snow bank. Certainly gives the ego a hit.
The good thing is, life moves on...MACK E-6, Thull, KillingTime and 3 others Thank this. -

Angle was really steep. If my trailer followed at all I woulda rolled. First time ever I'm really glad I have 45k in the wagon. That being on level ground helped keep me from goin over. Best part is no load shift or damage or anything. My load bar even stayed in place... and they come down if you sneeze to hardHeathar, Thull, KillingTime and 4 others Thank this. -

Ill put good money on me now having a preventable on my ### -
That's not always a bad thing... I would look at it, after hearing the story, and think "well I bet he won't do that one again". Companies that see that and think oh my God he is a huge risk we can't hire him! aren't worth the time of day. I look at it as motorcycle riders. There are those that have fallen, and those that haven't fallen....yet. How many do you think really drive for 30 years without a few bumps and scrapes? Very few. The only difference is today's world records absolutely everything. Nobody is perfect. Don't beat yourself up too much over it.
DoneYourWay, Heathar, G13Tomcat and 3 others Thank this. -
Keep your chin up, it isn't as bad as it feels to you right now.x1Heavy Thanks this.
